I scored a goal last night--a diving, flick-on header from a corner kick. It hit the upper right corner, just over the keeper. And I'm proud enough to keep talking about it. Even if no one else is.

In the lobby of the clinic, we have magnetic poetry for cats. Or perhaps I should say magnetic cat poetry. Friday afternoons, I work mostly by myself; fielding calls and preparing the cats for the weekend.

My normal smoothie after running, biking or swimming. Today, I biked just about 30 minutes because it was cold and started late after writing. This was banana, mango, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, papaya, and orange juice. If there's one unquestioned benefit of civilization, it would be frozen fruit.

Let a girl rain all over you
Rain in the desert is still a lot of fun. SkyGirl and I splashed around a bit after running some errands. This was nothing like a monsoon storm, but it was a good steady rain for the whole morning. Any weather that isn't bright sunshine is worth celebrating.

Palm Tree 5/366
SkyGirl and I made palm trees out of the fall leaves. Fall comes much later here. It was her idea. She's decided that all the trees in our backyard constitute a second house. We have the kitchen tree, the two bedroom trees, the playroom tree and the living room tree. This palm tree was under the playroom tree. January 5th, 2008

One of the challenges for this month is the seven deadly sins.
The doctor and I splurged tonight after a frustrating afternoon at the clinic. I couldn't get something to work with the network, and we both dealt with lost litter scoopers and mislabeled medications. Our bank is right next door to Zipps, and sometimes the smell is irresistible.

SkyGirl and I went to see the exhibit on Animation, but she didn't like it at all. She found the cartoons scary, and the art unsettling. Granted, it wasn't geared toward the Hanna Barbara set.
So, we went outside and took a lot of pictures on the campus of the Mesa Center for the Arts--one of her favorite places to run around.
